HINTS AND TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST DATE

On this page we try to give some guidance on your first meeting with your new introduction.

Remember - First impressions create lasting impressions!

To make the most of your membership we suggest the following:

* - When speaking on the telephone for the first time, always ask questions about each other - both parties should get a chance to speak and listen equally.
* - During this first conversation, be open minded and take into account that the other person may be nervous. Never pre-judge a referral on an initial telephone conversation.
* - For the first meeting always present yourself smartly and dressed for the occasion. First impressions are important.
* - Although all our members have been vetted, be sensible, meet in a public place where you can feel at ease and have a chance to relax and find out about each other. Quiet pubs and quality restaurants are an excellent choice.
* - Allow a reasonable amount of time for that first meeting, at least 2 hours, to give each other the chance to get acquainted.
* - Be positive, cheerful and light hearted and do not assume anything. Ask questions, talk about each other's interests, like and dislikes but do not harbour about past loves, past hurts and mistakes. There is always time to talk about these, if necessary, at a later time.
* - Be yourself, give each other a chance, be honest and considerate. You may discover that you are not sure how you feel after just one meeting, so set another, where you can spend more time in each other's company.
* - Do not expect the same party to meet all the expenses - and be generous.
* - Finally, enjoy yourself. If you could turn every stranger you meet into a friend, think how wonderful your life would become.
* - Having met your referral, contact Preludes again and let us know. Good communication is one of the keys to success.
